The philanthropic foundation to advance professional excellence in dental hygiene education and research.
Our Mission
To Support the charitable educational, research and scientific endeavors of the American Dental Hygienists’ Association (ADHA) which will improve the public’s total health by increasing the awareness of and access to quality oral healthcare.
We work to
Empower dental hygienists to improve the public’s health through community grants. Support advancements in the dental hygiene profession through research grantsDevelop dental hygienists’ access to educational programs through scholarships.
Statement
In collaboration with the American Dental Hygienists’ Association, the ADHA Institute for Oral Health provides thousands of dollars each year, to advance the profession of Dental Hygiene through scholarship, research and service. These monies have been awarded to dental hygiene students for educational needs (Scholarships), to those expanding the field of dental hygiene (Research Grants) and to dental hygienists’ to provide oral health care and education to those in their communities (Community Service Grants).

Mars Wrigley Foundation Grant Program

What is the Mars Wrigley Foundation grant program?
The ADHA Institute for Oral Health and the Mars Wrigley Foundation are pleased to offer professional members of the American Dental Hygienists' Association (ADHA) the opportunity to apply for community service grants through November 1st. The Mars Wrigley Foundation's Healthier Smiles Grant Program grants are awarded to applicants who are involved in a specific community health project that provides access to care in underserved communities, improves the public's oral health, and provides oral health care education.
What do Grant Recipients receive?
$2,500-$5,000 per grantee

When is the application due?
Applications for the Mars Wrigley Foundation's Healthier Smiles Grant Program are due no later than November 1, 2021.
