Mission

To improve the public's total health, the mission of the South Carolina Dental Hygienists' Association is to advance the art and science of dental hygiene by ensuring access to quality oral health care, increasing awareness of the cost effective benefits of prevention, promoting the highest standards of dental hygiene education, licensure, practice and research, and representing and promoting the interests of dental hygienists.

A strong, connected, and empowered community of dental hygienists who feel supported, represented, and proud of their profession—shaping the future of oral health in South Carolina.

2025 Executive Board

Lindsay Jackson
President & Editor
Provides overall leadership and direction for the association, guiding strategic priorities while representing South Carolina dental hygienists at the state and national level. Manages and curates association communications, including newsletters and digital content, to keep members informed, engaged, and connected.
Chad Tingen
Vice President & Symposium Chair
Supports the President in carrying out the association’s goals and helps oversee committees and initiatives to ensure smooth operations and continuity in leadership. Leads the planning and execution of the annual SCDHA Symposium, coordinating speakers, sponsors, logistics, and volunteers to deliver a high-quality continuing education experience for attendees.
Shera Davis
Treasurer
Oversees the association’s finances, including budgeting, reporting, and fiscal compliance, to ensure responsible stewardship of member funds.
Michele Brown
Secretary
Maintains accurate records of meetings and official documents, ensuring transparency, organization, and clear communication within the association.
Daiphin Bober
ADHA Liason
Serves as the direct link between SCDHA and the American Dental Hygienists’ Association, sharing updates, resources, and initiatives between the state and national levels.
