Institute of Oral Health

Every year the Institute of Oral Health raises thousands of dollars to advance the profession of dental hygiene through grants, scholarships, research, and community service.  One of the ways they do this is by having a 5K run/walk at annual session every year.  This year it will take place on Friday June 21st in Louisville, KY at ADHA's Annual Session.  If you can't make it to Kentucky don't worry you can still be a virtual participant.  Simply follow the link below and click register. In collaboration with the American Dental Hygienists’ Association, the ADHA Institute for Oral Health provides thousands of dollars each year, to advance the profession of Dental Hygiene through scholarship, research and service. These monies have been awarded to dental hygiene students for educational needs (Scholarships), to those expanding the field of dental hygiene (Research Grants) and to dental hygienists’ to provide oral health care and education to those in their communities (Community Service Grants).

Our Mission

To Support the charitable educational, research and scientific endeavors of the American Dental Hygienists’ Association (ADHA) which will improve the public’s total health by increasing the awareness of and access to quality oral healthcare

We work to:

  • Empower dental hygienists to improve the public’s health through community grants
  • Support advancements in the dental hygiene profession through  research grants
  • Develop dental hygienists’ access to educational programs through scholarships.
